Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a SecOps Engineer to install and secure cloud infrastructure, patch critical systems, and enhance our security posture. You will develop automation, integrate security into CI/CD, perform threat hunts, and support compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and SOC 2.

The role requires RHEL administration, IaC with Ansible/Terraform, AWS and Kubernetes experience, and TS/SCI with polygraph. Location is Chantilly, VA; remote work may be limited.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration experience.
• 5+ years of IaC with Ansible or Terraform.
• 2+ years of AWS experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container tooling.
• Familiarity with DoD STIGs and CIS benchmarks.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years patching Linux or 9+ years in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security automation, tooling, and integrations.
• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and Engineering to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
• Conduct log analysis, threat hunting, and forensics investigations as needed.
• Manage and optimize vulnerability management platforms.
• Support security compliance initiatives (NIST, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, SOC 2).
• Assist in building, testing, and refining operational images for cloud infrastructure.
