Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in the Platform product group focused on authentication and authorization. The role centers on building scalable test automation infrastructure for cloud services and handling vast security data, collaborating across teams to elevate quality.

You will design and scale testing frameworks, review designs for testability and security, and create cloud-based test infra, while mentoring peers in secure testing practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of combined experience as an SDET or Backend Developer
• 3+ years building testing frameworks and tooling for Cloud SaaS products
• Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, distributed systems)
• Expertise in at least one modern programming language: Go, Python, Java, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Deep understanding of Cloud architectures, microservices, REST/gRPC/Protobuf, databases, and containers
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Strong debugging and performance testing skills; experience with cloud monitoring tools

Responsibilities

• Design scalable test automation frameworks for complex distributed systems
• Develop test strategies for security-critical features, focusing on reliability, accuracy, and performance at scale
• Review engineering designs for testability and security implications
• Create cloud-based test infrastructure simulating real deployment scenarios
• Build tools/frameworks for testing agent-cloud interactions and data pipelines
• Drive root cause analysis for production issues and automate regression tests
• Mentor team members on test automation best practices and security-conscious testing
