Job summary
Canonical is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team that optimizes Ubuntu images for cloud partners. You will mentor engineers, drive technical excellence, and collaborate with leaders to deliver reliable image delivery, testing, and publication pipelines. The role requires strong software development, Agile practices, and cloud platform experience.
You will work from home with up to 15% travel and engage with OSS communities and commercial partners to align strategy and execution.
Qualifications
- Mentor and grow engineers, helping them develop professionally.
- Strong software development background with hands-on coding and design experience.
- Experience delivering high-quality software using agile practices.
- Proficiency in Python or Golang.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS).
