Job summary

Adarga, a defence-focused AI systems company in the United States, is seeking a Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. You will work alongside experienced platform and software engineers to maintain cloud infrastructure and support a containerised microservices architecture.

You’ll gain exposure to modern DevOps practices, receive mentoring from senior engineers, and contribute to production systems that matter across defence, security, and resilience workloads.

Qualifications

• Experience with US Government Cloud systems.
• Experience in the FEDRAMP process.
• Linux systems administration experience.
• Practical experience with GCP and AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes, ideally GKE, and container fundamentals.
• Scripting in Bash or Python for automation.
• Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP/S, TCP/IP).
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with GitOps and declarative configuration management.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate engineering workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, and willingness to learn.
• Clear communication and effective team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and improving our cloud infrastructure.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Support deployment and operation of containerised apps in Kubernetes.
• Help automate infrastructure delivery pipelines and CI/CD workflows.
• Assist in monitoring, logging, and observability tasks.
• Support disaster recovery testing and data backup/restore processes.
• Work with software engineers and data scientists to understand their infra needs.
• Learn and apply DevSecOps principles, integrating security into workflows.
• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting under guidance.
