Job summary

Alexandria Real Estate is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, automate, and operate secure cloud and SaaS platforms across identity, endpoints, and services. You’ll implement IaC, develop PowerShell/Python automation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and security.

The role requires hands-on Azure, 365, Entra ID experience and a strong DevOps mindset, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge automation and AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years supporting cloud, infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Hands-on with Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and hybrid environments.
• Experience with identity management, SSO, Conditional Access, and endpoint management.
• Infrastructure as Code, automation, and scripting knowledge.
• PowerShell mastery; Bash and/or Python experience preferred.
• Power Platform including Power Apps and Logic Apps.
• Familiarity with Defender, Purview, and enterprise security concepts.
• Knowledge of networking, cloud connectivity, and SaaS integrations.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM and ITSM practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Certifications in Azure, Microsoft 365, Security, or Endpoint are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, automate, and support secure, reliable enterprise platforms across cloud, SaaS, identity, and endpoint environments.
• Implement and support Azure and Microsoft 365 services per architectural and security standards.
• Develop IaC, scripts, and automated workflows for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Build and maintain automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and Azure Automation.
• Monitor platform availability, performance, security, capacity, and health.
• Troubleshoot complex platform, identity, application, and connectivity issues.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Develop Power Apps, Logic Apps, and other workflow automation solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain runbooks and documentation.
