Role Summary

Adobe is seeking a UNIX Administrator with excellent technical, process and automation skills to be part of the High‑Performance Cloud Operations Team. As an Infrastructure Administrator, this person is responsible for the daily administration of Linux and Unix servers in a business application environment. Responsibilities include general system administration tasks, software and hardware support, system configuration, and system monitoring. The candidate must have excellent Linux/Unix administration experience, strong customer relation skills, and the ability to collaborate with business application administrators.

What You’ll Do

• Day‑to‑day administration of all Linux‑based servers, including monitoring the trouble ticket queue, system fixes, hardware and software changes, scripting, patching, and system performance monitoring.
• Hardware diagnostics, system sizing, system integration, upgrade implementation, and general system maintenance.
• Provide application support: work with application administrators to fix and fine‑tune applications, guiding them in standard processes related to the underlying UNIX infrastructure.
• Maintain all system documentation.

What You Need To Succeed

• In‑depth Unix/Linux system administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, SUSE) for installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH).
• Experience with virtual machine management (VMware, OpenShift).
• Understanding of security best practices: user access controls, OS hardening, patch management, and compliance.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform is beneficial.
