Lab37 Robotics in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Cloud Platform - Developer Experience Engineer to own the developer platform experience, drive faster CI/CD, and improve reliability across a polyglot stack. You’ll influence caching, PR landing, and pipeline performance while collaborating with platform and release teams.

The role focuses on infrastructure and execution quality in CI/CD under Cloud, with a transition to a cloud-first monorepo.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Developer Experience, Build/Release Engineering, Platform Engineering, or CI/CD Infrastructure on AWS Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub (or equivalent CI platform), self-hosted runners, and workflow orchestration patterns.
• Proven track record reducing CI time and improving pipeline reliability at scale.
• Deep understanding of caching across modern build systems (Turborepo/Bazel preferred) and containerized CI.
• Experience optimizing PR workflows: branch protections, required checks, merge strategies, and developer feedback loops.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code familiarity (Terraform).
• Comfort working across polyglot stacks (web, backend, C++, embedded).
• Experience with monorepo migrations and CI redesign during repository restructuring.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement caching strategies across build systems and package managers.
• Own Bazel build performance and reliability in CI with remote cache strategies.
• Own the PR landing experience end-to-end: signal quality and merge confidence.
• Own the workplace provisioning workflow and CI runner infrastructure improvements.
• Build CI observability and reporting for pipeline latency and performance trends.
• Partner with teams to identify cost-efficient opportunities to streamline developer experience.
• Improve pre-commit and lint pipelines for speed and reliability.
