Job summary

Tripoint Solutions is hiring a Cloud Engineer to build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program. You’ll work with cloud, Salesforce, and data teams to keep environments secure, available, and compliant.

Location: Remote (US). Requires ~5+ years of cloud engineering, hands-on AWS GovCloud, and MuleSoft/Salesforce integration experience. Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IT and strong security focus are essential.

Qualifications

• ~5+ years in cloud engineering or operations.
• Hands-on AWS GovCloud experience.
• Experience integrating AWS with Salesforce and MuleSoft.
• Hands-on AWS Glue experience.
• Proficiency with IAM policy design, KMS, least-privilege access.
• Linux system administration proficiency.
• Python for automation and scripting.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Working knowledge of cloud security principles and hardening.
• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or SysOps) or Salesforce/MuleSoft certs.
• Risk Management Framework / ATO support / STIG / vulnerability scanning.
• Monitoring with CloudWatch or Splunk.
• Prior federal contract experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program.
• Integrate AWS with Salesforce and MuleSoft interfaces.
• Develop AWS Glue data pipelines and S3 lifecycle policies.
• Ensure security via least-privilege access, encryption, and network isolation.
• Implement and maintain IAM/KMS and secrets management.
• Embed security scanning and CI/CD monitoring in pipelines.
• Support STIG, RMF, ATO activities and timely vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and change control artifacts.
• Automate operational tasks with Python.
• Collaborate with cloud, Salesforce, integration, and data teams.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program. You will work within the cloud team’s architecture and alongside the Salesforce, integration, and data teams to keep environments secure, available, and compliant. Location : Remote . • Provision, configure, and operate AWS GovCloud infrastructure, including EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, VPCs, subnets, security groups, and Route 53.
• Build and support integrations between AWS and Salesforce, including MuleSoft-based interfaces.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue pipelines that move data securely between source systems.
• Implement S3 lifecycle, tiering, and retention policies.
• Secure RDS and other data services with least-privilege access, encryption, and network isolation.
• Implement and maintain IAM policies, KMS key management, and secrets management.
• Build automated security scanning, dependency validation, and continuous monitoring into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support STIG implementation, Risk Management Framework and Authority to Operate activities, and vulnerability remediation on contractual timelines.
• Maintain deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and change control artifacts that support high-availability standards.
• Automate operational work using Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• ~5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or operations.
• ~ Hands-on AWS GovCloud experience.
• ~ Hands-on AWS experience across compute, storage, networking, and identity, including VPC design, subnetting, routing, peering, Route 53, load balancing, and VPN or Direct Connect.
• ~ Experience integrating AWS with Salesforce, and hands-on MuleSoft experience.
• ~ Hands-on AWS Glue experience.
• ~ Proficiency with IAM policy design, KMS, and least-privilege access models.
• ~ Linux system administration.
• ~ Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• ~ Hands-on CI/CD pipeline experience using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• ~ Working knowledge of cloud security principles and hardening practices.
• ~ AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
• Salesforce or MuleSoft certification.
• Risk Management Framework, ATO support, STIG implementation, or vulnerability scanning with ACAS or Nessus.
