Job summary

Plus3 IT is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage multi-account AWS infrastructure across GovCloud and Commercial regions. The role demands security clearance, strong IaC skills with Terraform/Terragrunt, and proficiency in GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with infrastructure teams and security teams to maintain health and enforce policies. Hybrid work setup in the United States, with a compensation range of $100k–$159k and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly.
• Experience with Terraform/Terragrunt in IaC.
• Hands-on AWS and cloud ops experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, refactor, and deploy multi-account AWS infra using Terraform and Terragrunt across GovCloud and Commercial regions.
• Maintain and monitor the AWS organization and support tools (GitLab, runners, Keycloak, CEGA routers).
• Remediate security concerns identified by Security tools, ISSOs, or MDT.
• Monitor health, compute runtimes, network routing (Transit Gateway, AWS Network Firewall), and perimeter rules (WAF).
• Maintain admin/user guides for operations and centralized logging with S3 lifecycle policies.
• Support other teams with technical issues in the environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain, refactor, and deploy multi-account AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt across GovCloud and Commercial regions. To cover but not limited to patches, updates, bug fixes, outages, security exposure
• Maintain and monitor the AWS organization across GovCloud and Commercial and the support tools within (ie Gitlab, runners, Keycloak, CEGA routers etc)
• Ability to work with the infrastructure team to quickly remediate security concerns that have been identified by Security tools, ISSOs, or MDT
• Monitor operational health, compute runtimes, network routing (Transit Gateway, AWS Network Firewall), and perimeter rules (AWS WAF).
• Maintain and manage all admin and user guides for the operations of the system.
• Maintain centralized logging pipelines and enforce S3 Object Lock (WORM) and lifecycle policies (S3 Standard to Glacier) in a dedicated Logarchive account.
• Support other teams with technical issues/questions that may arise while operating within the environment

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly. Candidates with no active security clearance will automatically be declined by our ATS.
  • Education & Experience:
    • Ph.D.: 0+ years of experience required.
    • Master's Degree: 3+ years of experience required.
    • Bachelor of Science Degree: 5+ years of experience required
    • 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a BS degree
• Infrastructure as Code: Proven, practical experience coding with Terraform and exposure to Terragrunt.
• Hands-on experience in O&M / DevOps operations, specifically building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or cloud computing

Certifications Needed:

• Security + or higher
• Cloud certification from any of the major Cloud providers, AWS Preferred
