Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager II for Network Capacity in Cloud Networking. The role focuses on leading cross-functional, multi-disciplinary projects from initiation through delivery, planning requirements, identifying risks, managing schedules, and communicating tradeoffs with engineers and executives.

The candidate will contribute to capacity planning across data centers and cloud platforms to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in program management.
Experience in data networking architecture.
Experience with network capacity.

Responsibilities

Manage capacity deliverables, plan of records, and schedules. Ensure deliverables are managed and delivered to overall schedule.
Understand partner team dependencies, constraints, designs and forecasting mechanisms that impact the business by engaging early and often, collaborating on process improvements and communicating.
Work with planning to understand the plan of record, ensure dependent projects are kicked off in time to support the schedule of downstream dependencies.
Work with partner teams to ensure project priorities are aligned, resources are secured and logistics are on point with material storage and delivery.
Document patterns, spikes, lesson learned and proactively improve deployment times. Provide health reports highlighting wins, risk, and upcoming demands.
