Job summary

BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Cloud Security Engineer in Phoenix to join a hands-on team focused on secure cloud networking, firewall and policy automation, and cloud-native controls across hybrid environments.

You will design and implement cloud network security, automate with Terraform or CloudFormation, collaborate with security and cloud engineering teams, and improve observability, logging, and threat detection in enterprise-scale deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Network Security, Cloud Security, or Infrastructure Security engineering.
• Experience designing and securing networking in AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of core cloud-native networking and security concepts (VPCs/VNets, routing, segmentation, etc.).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with security monitoring, SIEM integration, logging, and network telemetry.
• Experience securing SaaS environments and integrations and cloud connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement cloud network security across public and private clouds.
• Automate network security controls including firewalls, security groups, and network ACLs.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code to deploy secure cloud networking.
• Collaborate to implement secure hybrid connectivity between on-premises and cloud.
• Support connectivity solutions (VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, VPC/VNet peering).
• Conduct PoC evaluations of cloud networking and security technologies.
• Improve visibility, logging, and threat detection with Security Operations and IR teams.
• Participate in architecture reviews for cloud applications ensuring security standards.
