Job summary

ADT is seeking a seasoned cloud network engineer to design, develop, document, and implement enterprise network technologies across hybrid footprints. You will work with GCP, AWS, Azure networking, and F5/DNS/VIP deployments to support secure multi-cloud environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering across Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware NSX-T/AVI, and SD-WAN, with emphasis on scalable, highly available networks and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP and Palo Alto certification or equivalent.
• Extensive hands-on experience with multi-vendor networks (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Juniper, Aruba).
• Experience designing secure, scalable network solutions across cloud and on‑prem.
• Strong scripting and automation experience for network tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud and on-prem network technologies with emphasis on security and VPC design across multiple clouds.
• Develop strategies for hybrid and multi-cloud deployments, ensuring performance and seamless integration.
• Engineer network solutions using Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware NSX-T/AVI, and F5 with complex BGP configs.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless networks on multi-vendor platforms.
• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise Wi‑Fi networks for coverage and security.
• Develop and maintain network automation scripts to streamline tasks.
• Configure dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) for efficient operations.
• Document detailed network designs and topologies for new and existing infrastructure.
• Perform site surveys and capacity planning for LAN, wireless, and SD-WAN.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and routing protocols.
• Monitor and optimize network performance via proactive monitoring and capacity management.
• Implement QoS to prioritize critical applications.
• Design high-availability solutions with redundant links and failover.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance in Wi‑Fi, LAN, and SD‑WAN deployments.
• Evaluate next-generation technologies, including cloud-managed network solutions.
• Provide input on hardware and software selections, including wireless controllers, switches, routers, and SD‑WAN appliances.
• Manage external DNS and domain registrations where applicable.
• Deep understanding of F5 GSLB, BigIP, XC deployments and on-demand scaling.
• Proficient with Palo Alto Strata/Prisma cloud including PANO and firewall rules.
