Qualifications

• 6+ years designing, implementing enterprise cloud networks in AWS and Azure.

• Experience with Megaport VXCs and private cloud connectivity.
• Expertise in security controls: SG, NSG, NACL; cloud firewalls and NVAs.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chief Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable, and highly available cloud networking solutions across AWS and Microsoft Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud infrastructure architecture, hybrid networking, resiliency, network security, and multi-cloud connectivity. This role requires a strategic technical leader who can architect enterprise-grade cloud solutions while ensuring performance, security, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise cloud network architectures across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Build highly available, fault-tolerant, and resilient cloud environments utilizing multi-region and multi-Availability Zone (AZ) architectures.
• Develop hybrid cloud networking solutions using AWS Transit Gateway, Azure ExpressRoute, and private connectivity services.
• Design secure connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments utilizing Megaport Virtual Cross Connect (VXC) services.
• Architect cloud networking strategies focused on traffic optimization, ingress/egress routing, load balancing, and high availability.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native load balancing technologies to support scalable application delivery.
• Implement and manage virtual firewall solutions using both native cloud security controls and third-party Network Virtual Appliances (NVAs).
• Design secure cloud networking environments using Security Groups, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Network Access Control Lists (NACLs).
• Build and maintain Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Virtual Network (VNet), peering, hybrid, and multi-cloud architectures.
• Configure and support Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for enterprise cloud and hybrid network connectivity.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with enterprise security standards, governance, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud networking architecture.
• Extensive experience designing highly available, resilient, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructures.
• Hands-on experience with:
• AWS Transit Gateway
• Experience implementing Megaport connectivity, including Virtual Cross Connect (VXC) provisioning.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Cloud traffic engineering
• Routing optimization
• Secure hybrid connectivity
• Experience deploying and managing:
• Cloud-native load balancers
• Virtual firewall solutions
• Third-party Network Virtual Appliances (Palo Alto VM-Series, Cisco CSR 8000v)
• Strong understanding of cloud security technologies including:
• AWS Security Groups
• Azure Network Security Groups (NSGs)
• Network ACLs (NACLs)
• Experience designing VPC/VNet peering and enterprise hybrid networking solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Excellent understanding of cloud security architecture, governance, compliance, and best practices.

Required Experience

• 6+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise cloud network infrastructure within AWS and Azure environments.
• 4+ years designing highly available, resilient cloud networking solutions supporting disaster recovery and business continuity.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and Azure networking services, including hybrid connectivity, routing, and load balancing.
• 4+ years implementing Megaport networking services, including private cloud connectivity and Virtual Cross Connects (VXCs).
• 4+ years of experience with network traffic engineering, secure connectivity, routing optimization, cloud firewalls, and Network Virtual Appliances (NVAs).

Required Certifications

Candidates must possess at least one of the following certifications:

• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
