Job summary

Precision Analytical is seeking a Software Development Engineer in McMinnville, Oregon, for a hybrid role. You will design, build, and ship scalable cloud-native applications focused on AWS serverless and TypeScript/Node.js, while balancing traditional architectures where appropriate.

You’ll work across the software lifecycle on an integrated team, shaping requirements, shipping features, and improving system reliability with modern tooling and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience and a related degree (or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience building AWS serverless and event-driven applications (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions).
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, SQL and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
• Ability to design for both serverless and traditional architectures with good judgment.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns; SOLID principles.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable cloud-native applications on AWS with modern dev practices.
• Design clean integrations with existing systems and data synchronization across platforms.
• Develop infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and/or SAM.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing; participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate across frontend, backend, data, and user-facing components; support security considerations.
