Job summary

Que Technology Group is seeking a Software Engineer to support a mission-focused endeavor. This role focuses on modernizing a Java-based system by migrating from Apache Tomcat to a cloud-native architecture built on Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, and modern software engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Experience developing web applications using Angular and modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB or similar relational database technologies.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Podman.
• Experience deploying and supporting containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with software architecture evolution and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and drive design, implementation, and modernization of software solutions.
• Develop, test, debug, and maintain Java and Angular applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Develop data access components for Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other relational databases.
• Support modernization initiatives including migration to Spring Boot and containerization.
• Deploy containerized applications to Kubernetes in cloud or on-prem environments.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and CI/CD improvements.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests and document processes using Confluence.
