Job summary

Lynker is seeking a Geospatial Platform Lead to shape our cloud‑native geospatial platform from Boulder, CO. You will own architecture, data productization, and scalability while guiding cross‑team alignment and setting engineering standards.

You’ll mentor developers and ensure reliable data services for APIs and partners, advancing our weather and climate analytics capabilities. The role emphasizes leadership in STAC, TiTiler, and geospatial data workflows, with close collaboration across

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in geospatial science, computer science, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
5+ years building and operating cloud‑native geospatial or data platforms.
Strong Python and production software practices with Git, testing, and CI/CD.
Hands‑on AWS experience and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
Experience with cloud‑native geospatial formats and serving (COG, STAC/pgSTAC, TiTiler).
Track record of setting technical direction and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

Own the architecture of the geospatial platform including cloud‑native data pipelines and tiling layer.
Translate science outputs into versioned data products and interfaces for apps, partners, and the public.
Set engineering standards, ensure reliability, security, and interoperability; own scaling roadmap.
Coordinate with data and analytics teams so products and platform interfaces align.
Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and guide cloud‑native geospatial developers.
Keep platform data discoverable, reproducible, and reliable for APIs, apps, and partners.
