Job summary

EXPANSIA Group is seeking a Cloud Migration Engineer II to drive data and cloud migrations across mission partner projects. Hybrid with SCIF access at Langley AFB VA and Offutt AFB NE; candidates must reside within two hours of a location.

The role partners with Solution Architect and leadership to define target data models, timelines, and MaaS improvements, ensuring secure, compliant transitions across legacy and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in AWS cloud infra, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and data migration.
• Proven ability to manage complex IT transitions and migrations.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• DoD 8570-compliant certification or equivalent preferred.
• Available for 24/7 on-call schedule; nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data and cloud migration activities across projects.
• Liaise between mission partners, DAFCw engineering, and leadership on timelines and risks.
• Lead discovery, planning, and execution of cloud migrations into the DAFCw environment.
• Conduct IT environment assessments including baselines and risk profiling.
• Define and execute migration plans for legacy and modern systems.
• Design and operate migration tools tailored to mission needs.
• Use Jira/Confluence/GitLab and IAM tools for migration workflows.
• Execute migrations in agile waves to minimize risk and disruption.
• Contribute to MaaS processes, tooling, and documentation.
• Monitor progress and mitigate risks; coordinate ETL activities.
• Document standardized data and cloud migration approaches.
