The successful candidate will bring broad, hands‑on expertise across servers, operating systems, cloud services, storage, networking, web/application platforms, databases, monitoring, security, and automation.

Beyond day‑to‑day engineering, this role will help drive infrastructure modernization, automation, operational improvement, and complex technology projects. The position requires someone who can move comfortably between hands‑on technical engineering, architecture discussions, project execution, data analysis, and executive‑level communication.

  • Support hybrid‑cloud integration and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Systems & Application Platforms
  • Provide hands‑on expertise across enterprise web and application platforms, including IIS, Tomcat, WebSphere, and similar technologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues across multiple technology layers.
  • Partner with application, database, network, security, and operations teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
Automation & Modernization
  • Identify opportunities to automate infrastructure deployment, monitoring, administration, and operational processes.
  • Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
  • Drive initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Research and evaluate emerging cloud and infrastructure technologies.
Project & Technical Leadership
  • Lead the technical execution of complex infrastructure and cloud projects from planning through implementation.
  • Manage milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and technical deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
  • Provide technical direction to engineering teams and contribute to architectural and technology decisions.
  • Influence teams and stakeholders without relying solely on direct authority.
Monitoring, Security & Operations
  • Leverage enterprise tools for infrastructure monitoring, security, vulnerability management, logging, analytics, and service management.
  • Experience with technologies such as Rapid7, CrowdStrike, Ivanti, Elasticsearch, Splunk, Dynatrace, Power BI, Jira, and ServiceNow is highly desirable.
  • Support ITIL‑aligned operational processes and continuous service improvement.
  • Promote infrastructure security, availability, performance, and operational resilience.
Data & Reporting
  • Analyze infrastructure, cost, inventory, performance, capacity, risk, and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Use advanced Excel and data analysis skills to reconcile information and support technology decisions.
  • Partner with Architecture, Security, Applications, Development, Operations, and business teams.
  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts, project status, risks, recommendations, and business impacts.
  • Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to other engineers.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or related technology roles.
  • 8+ years of experience administering Windows and Linux environments.
