Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a seasoned Linux Infrastructure Administrator to support workstation and server environments, including cloud-based resources (AWS). Strong command-line skills, cloud experience, and hardware/network troubleshooting are essential.

You will manage cloud infrastructure, apply DevOps tools such as Ansible and Puppet, contribute to IaC efforts, and document configurations. A TS/SCI with polygraph and 10–12 years’ Linux experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or CISSP) required or must obtain within 1–2 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or related field.
• 10–12 years of Linux server/desktop administration and network troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and methodologies.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Workstation and server support: Local Linux desktop support; remote Linux server cloud-based support; Cloud-in-a-box infrastructure (Nutanix); hardware deployments and troubleshooting.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain cloud-based resources (AWS); IPA; Puppet; Ansible; Documentation.
• Network support: Troubleshoot cloud-based network infrastructure; troubleshoot local network issues; configure network switches/settings for deployed hardware.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux admin to work with our dynamic team of IT professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud environments, an understanding of cloud services, and a strong Linux command line understanding. Looking for candidates with some variety of the skills listed below

Responsibilities:

Workstation and Server support:

• - Local Linux Desktop support
• - Remote Linux Server cloud-based server support
• - Support local and remote “Cloud-in-a-box” infrastructure (Nutanix)
• - Comfortable with hardware deployments and troubleshooting

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

• - Manage and Maintain cloud-based resources (AWS)

Network support:

• - Support troubleshooting efforts for our cloud base network infrastructure

• - +/- 10 - 12 years of experience in server/desktop Linux system administration and network troubleshooting.

Desired:

• - Knowledge of Puppet, IPA, and Kubernetes
• - Juniper and/or Cisco Switch experience
• - Experience or understanding of “Cloud-in-a-Box” Solutions such as Nutanix
• - Experience with Proxmox
• - Experience with Ansible and scripting
• - Experience with Packer kickstarts and AMI creation yeah
• - Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies to support provisioning cloud and on-prem resources (Terraform, CloudFormation)
