Job summary

PeerSource seeks a hands-on Cloud & Infrastructure Security Engineer to enhance security across enterprise environments, focusing on Azure, IaC scanning, CSPM, and data protection.

The role is hybrid and can be based in King of Prussia, PA or Milwaukee, WI, with three onsite days weekly. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams in a growing cybersecurity practice serving enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud and infrastructure security engineering.
• Experience in MSP environments or IT consulting for enterprise clients.
• Experience identifying, prioritizing, and remediating cloud and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
• Hands-on IaC security scanning, configuration assessments, and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments of Azure, on-premises, and Active Directory to identify weaknesses.
• Review cloud security architectures and implement remediation for high-risk issues.
• Perform static IaC security scanning and fix vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
• Coordinate remediation efforts from penetration testing and scans.
• Implement and manage CSPM solutions, including CrowdStrike, to identify and remediate risks.
• Support integration and configuration of security platforms like CrowdStrike Falcon Shield.
• Assess data repositories with Cyera or similar DSPM tools to protect sensitive data.
• Support security initiatives around cloud migrations, identity management, and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with security architects and engineers to implement improvements across enterprise environments.

PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Cloud & Infrastructure Security Engineer on a Direct Hire basis. This hybrid role can be based out of either King of Prussia, PA or Milwaukee, WI.

Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud & Infrastructure Security Engineer to strengthen cloud security, remediate vulnerabilities, and implement security solutions across enterprise environments. This role focuses on Microsoft Azure security, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scanning, cloud security posture management, and data protection. The position requires working onsite three days per week and collaborating with architects, engineers, and project teams within a growing cybersecurity practice supporting enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments of Microsoft Azure cloud environments, on-premises infrastructure, and Active Directory to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen overall security posture.
• Review cloud security architectures, establish security baselines, and implement remediation strategies for critical and high-risk vulnerabilities.
• Perform static security scanning of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) configurations and remediate security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
• Coordinate and execute remediation efforts for vulnerabilities identified through penetration testing, security assessments, and infrastructure scans.
• Implement and manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solutions, including CrowdStrike, to identify security risks, remediate findings, and validate improvements through retesting.
• Support the integration and configuration of security platforms, including CrowdStrike Falcon Shield, to enhance cloud and SaaS security.
• Assess data repositories using Cyera or similar data security platforms to identify sensitive data exposure, remediate risks, and strengthen data protection controls.
• Support security initiatives associated with cloud migrations, infrastructure transitions, identity management, and data migration pipelines.
• Collaborate with security architects, infrastructure engineers, and project managers to implement security improvements across complex enterprise environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud and infrastructure security engineering, with a focus on securing Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment or IT consulting organization supporting enterprise clients.
• Experience identifying, prioritizing, and remediating cloud and infrastructure security vulnerabilities, including findings from penetration testing.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security scanning, configuration assessments, and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Active Directory, identity security, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience implementing, configuring, or managing cloud security tools and validating remediation efforts through security testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently execute security initiatives and collaborate across technical teams.
• Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon, Falcon Shield, and CSPM solutions is preferred. Familiarity with Cyera or similar Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platforms is also desirable.
