Job summary

RiVidium Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and manage secure, scalable cloud systems across hybrid environments, bridging traditional IT and modern cloud solutions.

You will lead architectures for AWS/Azure/GCP, implement IaC, ensure compliance with DoD/NIST, and optimize performance and costs while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of experience with current and emerging technologies.
• Proven virtualization experience and major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Strong knowledge of cloud services: compute, storage, networking, databases, analytics.
• Experience with IdAM and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD IL, NIST).
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, NIST SP 800-53, STIGs).
• RBAC, networking, firewalls, and secure cloud architectures.
• Proficiency with scripting (PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Bachelor's degree or vocational IT degree; higher education preferred.

RiVidium Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-based systems. This role focuses on hybrid and multi-cloud environments and serves as a key bridge between traditional IT infrastructure and modern cloud solutions, enabling the organization to fully leverage cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and define cloud architectures for new and existing systems and services
• Implement and manage scalable, secure solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and event-driven architectures
• Oversee day-to-day cloud operations to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Establish secure, software-defined cloud interconnects between on-premises systems and cloud environments
• Implement security controls and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues with minimal disruption
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that improve performance, scalability, and security
• Align cloud solutions with mission objectives and organizational requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with current and emerging technologies
• Proven experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and analytics
• Experience with network security, identity and access management (IdAM), and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, NIST)
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, NIST 800-53, and STIGs
• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and role-based access control (RBAC)
• Experience with IdAM technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), LDAP, and cloud-based identity solutions
• Proficiency with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies
• Bachelor's degree or vocational diploma in IT, Information Systems, or a related field
• Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS and/or Microsoft certifications at the Associate or Expert level (e.g., Solutions Architect, Systems Administrator, or Engineer)
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DoN), or law enforcement environments

Certifications (Required):

• Must meet DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II requirements
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) required
