Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end: requirements gathering, designs, design reviews, implementations, code reviews, incremental feature launches, operations, mentoring, and driving continuous improvement.
• Solve difficult problems, applying appropriate technologies and best practices.
• Build software that is stable and performant.
• Be proficient in a broad range of design approaches and know when to use them.
• Write code that is understandable by engineers unfamiliar with the system.
• Limit short-term workarounds; manage complexity appropriately.
• Create flexible software without over-engineering and reuse where possible.
• Be efficient with resources (hardware, memory/CPU, etc.).
