Job summary

Peraton is seeking an engineer to design, develop, automate, and sustain cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD environments for mission-critical applications. You will build and maintain automated, scalable development and deployment environments across AWS and Kubernetes.

The role requires 6+ years in Configuration Management, a TS/SCI clearance, and a technical degree, with practical experience in Terraform, Packer, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• Six (6) years of Configuration Management experience on programs of comparable scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline. Four (4) years of additional relevant Configuration Management experience may be substituted for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, automation, and sustainment of cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD environments across AWS and Kubernetes platforms.
• Build and maintain highly automated, scalable, and reliable development and deployment environments.
• Support cascading pipelines and triggers; author, document, and utilize Terraform to automate IaC; work with GitLab runners at scale.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

• We are seeking an engineer to support the design, development, automation, and sustainment of cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD environments supporting mission-critical applications. This role will focus on building and maintaining highly automated, scalable, and reliable development and deployment environments across AWS and Kubernetes platforms.
• This position offers an opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies while supporting highly available environments and large-scale automated software development and deployment pipelines.

In this role, you will work with and be responsible for:

• Experience with Maven dependency management
• Experience building and maintaining cascading pipelines and triggers is strongly preferred
• Two or more years of experience authoring, documenting, and utilizing Terraform to automate configuration management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Two years of experience using HashiCorp Packer to build AMIs within CI pipelines
• Fluency with ECS, EKS, and Kubernetes
• Experience deploying and maintaining autoscaling fleets of dozens to hundreds of GitLab runners

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
