Job summary

Kestrel Intelligence is building the future of scalable autonomy across geospatial domains, including space, air, land and sea. We seek a Software Engineer to design and deploy cloud infrastructure, lead Python API deployments, and shape multi-cloud strategies for compliant government deployments.

The role emphasizes Terraform-driven infrastructure, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and a strong emphasis on security, auditing, and scalability. Colorado Springs or DC-area travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Strong Python API development background is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and DoD IL compliance requirements.
• Experience with multi-cloud deployments and cloud-agnostic design.
• Ability to establish secure networking, IAM, and secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy infrastructure using Terraform.
• Lead deployment of Python-based APIs to cloud environments.
• Establish infrastructure best practices across dev/staging/prod environments.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Plan for GovCloud/DoD IL deployments and mitigate risks.
