Job summary

Programmers.io is seeking an experienced Identity Platform Engineer in Burlington, MA for a 12-month onsite contract. You will design, build and operate a modern CIAM platform that provides SSO, MFA, federation, and identity governance for enterprise applications, cloud services, APIs, and workforce identities.

The role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML and SCIM, cloud-native development, and experience with authentication orchestration tools

Qualifications

• 11+ years of experience in identity platforms and IAM
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), OAuth2, OIDC, SAML and SCIM
• Experience designing SSO, MFA, federation and identity governance for cloud and enterprise apps
• Experience with cloud-native CIAM solutions and cross-cloud integrations
• Strong stakeholder communication and leadership capabilities

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate a modern CIAM platform for enterprise apps, cloud services, APIs and workforce identities
• Deliver SSO, MFA, federation and identity governance across Azure, AWS, GCP and SaaS apps
• Develop authentication orchestration using tools like Transmit Security or Entra ID B2C IEF
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and drive implementation
• Mentor teammates and ensure ITIL-aligned service management and incident handling

The individual will play a key role in creating a scalable identity platform that provides Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), federation, privileged access management, and identity governance capabilities across Azure, AWS, GCP, SaaS applications, and custom applications. The ideal candidate should have experience with authentication orchestration using technologies such as Transmit Security or Entra ID B2C Identity Experience Framework (IEF).
