Job summary

NewGen Technologies, McLean, VA, seeks an Applications Development support specialist to manage project priorities, ensure quality, and design datasets for web and mobile apps in an AWS environment.

You will work with Node.js, Angular, Vue, React, and server technologies (NGINX, Express, Koa) while leveraging AWS services like CloudFormation, CloudWatch, S3, and DynamoDB. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Clearance: TS/SCI FSP required.
• Experience with frontend and backend development for production-ready applications.
• Strong HTML5/CSS3, Hugo or static site generators, and SASS skills.
• Proficient in JavaScript frameworks: Angular, Vue, React, and Node.js.
• Experience with Typescript, Webpack, Lerna, or Electron is a plus.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and automation (CloudFormation, CloudWatch, S3, ELB).
• Familiar with Express.js, Koa.js, or NGINX, and with relational/non-relational DBs (RDS, MySQL, DynamoDB).

Responsibilities

• Manage project priorities and tasks to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
• Meet Sponsor requirements for quality, responsiveness, and accessibility; follow development standards.
• Update assigned project statuses in the Sponsor's production tracking tool.
• Design datasets and data objects for JSON supporting interactive and web/mobile apps.
• Provide development, maintenance, and upgrade support for in-house tools and AWS-based services.
• Develop process documentation to support tasks and workflows.
• Use AWS CodeDeploy, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, ELB, EC2, IAM, Lambda, and Jenkins.
• Build and maintain applications servers using Node.js, Express, Koa.js, NGINX, Angular, Vue, React, CSS, and HTML.
• Utilize RDS, Oracle RDS, MySQL, and DynamoDB to support applications; participate in testing and validation.
• Maintain and modify existing software to correct errors and improve performance.
• Review programs and refine techniques to reduce operation time.
• Store, retrieve, and manipulate data to analyze system capabilities or requirements.
