Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking a FinOps Lead to establish and run the enterprise cloud financial management practice under the Technology Business Manager. You will own cloud governance, cost accountability, forecasting, and savings realization, partnering with Finance, Procurement, engineering, and service owners across Azure, AWS, Snowflake and related platforms.

Qualifications

• Must have strong analytical and financial analysis capabilities.
• Ability to translate technical data into actionable business outcomes.
• Experience communicating with executives and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated leadership in enterprise governance and cost optimization.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and financial management concepts.

Responsibilities

• Establish the FinOps roadmap, operating model, governance cadence, and performance measures.
• Define cloud financial governance policies, guardrails, ownership standards, escalation paths, and decision rights.
• Lead cloud budgeting, forecasting, variance management, anomaly response, and executive review processes.
• Establish tagging, cost allocation, account hierarchy, and ownership standards connecting consumption to applications and cost centers.
• Lead optimization efforts including rightsizing, waste elimination, and scheduling.
• Produce executive reporting covering cloud spend, forecasts, budget performance, and realized savings.
