Job Summary

This role serves as a subject matter expert for cloud infrastructure as code and cloud application design. Work involves building and maintaining cloud systems, projects, and Terraform code pipelines, while also providing technical support. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of cloud platforms (OCI, Azure, and AWS).

Project Management (30%)

• Provides engineering consulting and recommendations for all new cloud systems to ensure interoperability and adherence to company standards and policies.
• Serves as lead for cloud projects and internal IT and business initiatives.
• Builds, develops, and manages technical solutions on cloud platforms.
• Defines and monitors project priorities, providing technical and administrative supervision, and keeps management informed of project status.
• Ensures appropriate cloud resources for business applications, including capacity planning and workload prediction.
• Documents all projects and ensures cross-training within the team.

Technical Code, Design, and Build (70%)

• Provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud services such as OCI, Azure, and AWS.
• Expertise in Terraform code, modules, pipelines, and infrastructure as code projects.
• Automating system provisioning and maintenance using modern cloud tools.
• Building scalable, distributed, high-performance cloud solutions.
• Collaborating with architects, developers, and security teams to follow best practices.
• Installing, configuring, and supporting applications in cloud environments.
• Training teams on cloud initiatives and Terraform coding.
• Maintaining a well-managed operating environment for production and development.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues, documenting actions and steps for resolution.
• Supporting systems to meet SLAs and assisting in disaster recovery testing.

General Responsibilities

• Collaborate across disciplines and departments.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Demonstrate company values and core competencies.
• This role is considered high risk due to exposure to PHI sensitive data.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Scope

The incumbent works independently, relying on extensive experience to complete responsibilities. Acts as a resource for less experienced team members. Work is varied and complex.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud environment design, deployment, and administration, supporting cloud-native technologies and Terraform IAC.
• Technical skills include Azure, AWS, OCI, Terraform Cloud, DNS, Python, and Shell scripting.
• Team on-call schedule required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $125k - $135k, with health insurance, 401k, bonus, and other benefits including flexible schedules, professional development, and more.
