$60.00/hr - $80.00/hr

A top financial services client of Insight Global's is looking to hire a Senior Cloud Engineer sitting in the South Florida area. This position sits out of Sunrise, FL and the candidate will be working a hybrid on-site model. This Senior Engineer is responsible for working within a frameworks organization that builds reusable components and solutions horizontally across the organization. They will primarily focus on cloud engineering and migration efforts and infrastructure automation and bring strong AWS expertise.

Location: Sunrise, FL - HYBRID

Compensation: $60-80/hr

** Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.**

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Strong AWS expertise, particularly in EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, VPC networking and IAM.
Experience deploying and managing containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes) in cloud environments.
Understanding of ingress and egress traffic flow, AWS security groups, and service discovery.
Proficiency in Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Envoy) and patterns like sidecar architecture.
Solid understanding of REST API design and best practices; hands-on experience developing and deploying Node.js (or) Java based applications.
Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps best practices, and observability.
Understanding of API design, security, and workload isolation in distributed systems.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience with multi-cloud strategies (GCP, on-perm to cloud migration).
Knowledge on serverless architectures beyond AWS lambda.
