Job summary

Bluewater Federal is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support the USAF at Maxwell AFB, providing secure cloud solutions for the BMx program. You will deploy, configure, and sustain cloud environments while aligning with IL5/IL6 requirements.

In this role you will implement infrastructure-as-code, automate deployments, and monitor performance, security, and cost. A active Secret clearance is required, with hands-on experience across AWS GovCloud, Azure Cloud One, and container platforms like

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience supporting IL5/IL6 cloud environments.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Cloud One, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM, Cloud monitoring, Networking, Containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Preferred certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator/Architect, and Security+.

Overview

Bluewater Federal is looking for a Cloud Engineer to support the USAF at Maxwell AFB.

The Base Maintenance (BMx) Family of Systems program provides critical lifecycle support for enterprise U.S. Air Force logistics and maintenance systems that enable global mission readiness and sustainment operations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and sustain cloud-hosted environments.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions and automation.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Monitor cloud performance, security, and resource utilization.
• Manage cloud networking, container, and platform services.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and operational issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
