Job summary

Peraton seeks a Cloud Engineer to architect, implement, and optimize cloud solutions for a critical National Security program. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a STEM field and 6+ years of cloud-focused experience in government or industry, with TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI clearance and pass a polygraph.

The position is 100% onsite in St. Louis, Missouri, with heavily subsidized benefits and a generous PTO accrual (25 days per year).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related STEM field.
• 6+ years of experience supporting or leading cloud-based systems engineering efforts in government or industry.
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement cloud design, architecture, requirements elicitation, development, and operation for mission solutions.
• Leverage software-, platform-, and infrastructure-as-a-service to deliver GEOINT solutions.
• Ensure cloud service utilization efficiency and drive six-sigma reliability and continuous process improvement.

Job description

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
• 6+ years of working experience in government or industry supporting or leading cloud-based systems engineering efforts.
• TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Cloud Engineers define, implementation approaches and plans to ensure optimum cloud performance and reliability across the servers, networks, and related utilities and hardware that comprise the cloud infrastructure. They conduct analysis and make reliable engineering recommendations to ensure six sigma reliability/resiliency of the cloud infrastructure. They monitor and report on cloud utilization and plan continuous process improvement.

Duties include:

• Supports applying a systematic, engineering approach to the design, architecting, requirements elicitation, development, operation and use of cloud technologies and platforms for mission solutions.
• Leverages software-, platform- and infrastructure- as-a-service to deliver GEOINT solutions.
• Ensures optimum efficiencies for the utilization of cloud services.
