Job summary

VusionGroup is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud Operations team. You will help develop a scalable retail IoT platform by building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment workflows, and ensuring high availability of cloud services.

You will work on incident management, on-call rotations, and security reviews while collaborating with a global virtual team. A Bachelor's degree in CS or related field and strong English skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a similar cloud/DevOps role.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Experience with containerization (Kubernetes).
• Fluently speak and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers during incidents and provide timely updates.
• Lead RCA documentation and participate in on-call rotations.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
• Automate build, test and deployment workflows for reliability.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC (ARM, Terraform, Bicep).
• Manage and optimize containerized environments with Kubernetes.

Job Description

As aCloud Engineer on the Cloud Operations team, you will make a positive impact by:

Communicatingwith customers during incidents:

Identifyingimpactsand scope of issues.

Providingtimelyupdates viastatus pages and communications channels (email, teams)

Leading and contributing to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation.

Participating in on-call rotations and ensuring high availability of cloud services.

Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps.

Automating build, test, and deployment workflows to improve release efficiency and reliability.

Implementing pipeline governance, versioning strategies, and release approvals.

Troubleshooting pipeline failures andoptimizingperformance and reliability.

Integrating security scans, code quality checks, and automated testing into pipelines.

Provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform, Bicep).

Managing andoptimizingcontainerized environments using Kubernetes.

Ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance of cloud-native applications.

Managing environment configurations across development, staging, and production.

Providinginsightsbased onproductionenvironments,metrics,scalability,and constraints.

Challengingsystemdesign and proposingimprovements as early as possible.

Supporting production readiness reviews and deployment validations.

Testing andvalidatingdisaster recoveryand business continuityprocedures.

Monitoring, Observing & Reliability:

Designing and implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).

Creating dashboards for system health, performance, and business metrics.

Proactivelyidentifyingreliability risks and implementing preventive measures.

Ensuring Security:

Takingpartinsecurity reviews.

Monitoring security tools.

Identificationof improvements.

Implementingimprovements.

Taking part in continuous improvement:

Identifyingimprovements,includingmonitoring or dashboarding.

Takingpart in lessons learnt from releases and incidents.

Automating repetitive tasks through scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

Takingpart in processes optimization, documentation, audits (e.g.ISO 27001)

Optimizingcloud costs throughrightsizing, reserved instances, and usage analysis.

Contributingdocumentation, knowledge sharing, and process improvements.

Qualifications

Qualifications we’re looking for.

• Experience:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Skills:
  • Strong experience with cloud computing platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, such as Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes.
  • Fluently speaking and writing in English
• Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplinesand work within a virtual global team environment.
• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
