Randstad Digital Americas seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to deliver and optimize cloud infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) and own the Commvault backup and Azure ASR DR platforms. You will partner with global teams to design, implement, and secure enterprise solutions across geographies.

The role requires 6+ years in a global environment, strong Azure, OpenTofu/Terraform, Azure DevOps, Git/GitHub, Windows, and Linux skills, plus excellent communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area and 6+ years of experience in a global company preferred.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure, Terraform/OpenTofu, Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub, Windows, Linux, and PowerShell.
• Experience architecting and maintaining cloud solutions across hosted, outsourced, and cloud computing.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage cross-functional infrastructure projects and drive change.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Cloud Manager, the Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for delivering, managing, and enhancing the company's cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) platforms. The role focuses on the administration and maintenance of our cloud-based infrastructure and is part of a cross-functional team providing solution design and third-tier support for various enterprise solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Azure, server, storage, other Cloud IaaS technologies, and backup solutions. The role will own the Backup (Commvault) and Disaster Recovery (Azure ASR) platforms and work closely with global infrastructure, global information security, global applications, global support services, and program management teams to implement future infrastructure enhancements in all geographies. Additionally, the role involves implementing security controls, disaster recovery solutions, and IT policies and procedures, acting as a liaison between users and third‑party consultants.

Required Education And Experience

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in a related area (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Information Systems) and 6+ years of experience in a global company preferred.
• Project Management Experience: coordinating cross-functional infrastructure projects.
• Technical Skills: Demonstrated, progressive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Terraform/OpenTofu, Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub, Microsoft Windows, Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu), and PowerShell.
• Infrastructure Knowledge: Progressive experience with server and storage technologies, access and identity management platforms, and cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) technologies and methodologies.
• Solution Architecture: Experience architecting and maintaining solutions across hosted, outsourced, and cloud computing.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Teamwork: Team-oriented with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly to business stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to present solutions/alternatives and influence decision outcomes.
• Change Management: Ability to manage change effectively.
