Job summary

CAE USA Inc. is seeking a senior Cloud/DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement and support cloud-based deployments across our defense and security portfolios.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS or related field required.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in a specific technology practice (Infrastructure, Network, Storage, Servers, Security, Windows, Linux, etc.) for both on premise and cloud resources.
• 2+ years network and operating system experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in container management technologies like OpenShift, AKS, EKS, Rancher, Docker.
• Experience using a source code repository such as Git, BitBucket, Mercurial, or Subversion.
• Experience using a defect management system such as Jira, Bugzilla or Fogbugz.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• U.S. citizenship required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms to ensure they are best suited for Cloud deployment and consumption.
• Support the adoption of Cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, Micro-Services.
• Support the architecture, design, development, troubleshoot, and implementation of cloud solutions.
• Work closely with the Information Technology Security team to ensure the applications and solutions designed and deployed are secure and compliant.
• Effectively interface with customer personnel at varying organizational levels.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Report status on tasks and assignments.
• Generate preliminary and detailed designs as required for enhancements or modifications to existing designs.
• Work as part of a project team.
• Experience with tools Gitlab, SonarQube, Nexus, Twistlock/Prisma Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes (Rancher, Openshift, K3S), Linux, AWS/Azure/GCP, and Terraform.
