Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Cloud Developer to design, build, and optimize cloud-based solutions at onsite partner/customer locations. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams to deploy scalable services and ensure performance and security.

You will work with languages like C, C++, Python, and JavaScript, and engage with Linux-based environments, APIs, and modern front-end frameworks. This position supports ongoing cloud operations and architectural improvement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software development, or a related IT field.
• Strong programming knowledge in C, C++, Python, JavaScript, or Java with exposure to cloud concepts.
• Familiarity with OOP, MVC, SQL/NoSQL, Linux, TCP/IP, and basic networking concepts.
• Experience with full-stack Java development and modern JS frameworks is a plus.

• Assist in deployment and configuration of cloud infrastructure, platforms, and services.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in cloud computing for continuous improvement.

The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications, and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems. Brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions. Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements. The Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.

Education & Experience Required

• Working towards a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree with a focus in computer science, computer engineering, software development, or other IT related field.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of at least one programming language like C, C++, python, Javascript, Java or associated libraries, web-sockets, and other cloud networking protocols.
• Familiarity with and understanding of design for software systems running on multiple platform types.
• A basic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles & Model View Controller (MVC) design patterns, in addition to SQL / NoSQL DBs, GNU, Linux, IPC and process scheduling, and networking protocols TCP/IP.
• Some exposure to full-stack Java software development, Java frameworks and application servers, Web Services (SOAP/REST API), responsive JS (Angular/Node/React.js), version control (preferably Git).
