Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled cloud engineer to design, implement, and automate scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP and other platforms. The role emphasizes security, cost-efficiency, and reliable operations across a suite of products.

Candidates should have 2+ years in public cloud, IaC with Terraform, and hands-on GCP experience, plus Kubernetes administration certification and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in public cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
• 2+ years of experience in managing cloud through Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, etc.
• 1+ years of experience with Go, Python, Shell, etc.
• 1+ years of experience in establishing observability systems to monitor production systems.
• Hands on experience in Google Cloud Platform.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
• Familiarity with IaC actuation tools like Atlantis, Terraform Cloud, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and Implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure using automation tools.
• Identify cloud infrastructure requirements, both functional and nonfunctional.
• Follow cloud architecture standards, policies, and guidelines to maintain consistency and reliability.
• Automate cloud infrastructure for Verily's suite of products on GCP.
• Reduce toil of repetitive cloud operations by automating into self-service workflows.
