Strategic Business Systems, Inc. (SBS) seeks a Sr Cloud Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable AWS-based applications for government-scale workloads in Chantilly, VA, onsite most of the time.

Join a team leveraging Node.js, React.js, AWS services, and TypeScript to deliver secure, high-performance cloud solutions while ensuring IL-4/5 readiness and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Onsite presence in Chantilly, VA is required most of the time, with mission-permitted

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Node.js 18+ REST API development and AWS Lambda.
• Proficiency with React.js 18+ and Material UI for frontend work.
• Deep knowledge of TypeScript 4+ and modern ECMAScript features.
• Strong AWS experience including Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, and SQS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and SDK.
• Familiarity with IAM, SSM, and Secrets Manager for security.
• SQL query optimization and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-first solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions and team planning.
• Stay current with cloud technologies and modern development practices.

We are seeking a talented Sr Cloud Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-based applications. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Node.js, React.js, AWS services, and modern development frameworks to drive impactful solutions for our organization. This role is expected to be onsite in Chantilly,VA the majority of the time.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with AWS CDK and SDK for infrastructure as code
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js 18+ REST API development and operations with AWS Lambda.
• Proficiency in React.js 18+ and Material UI for frontend development.
• Expertise in React hooks, TanStack, and Axios for state and data management.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript 4+ and ECMAScript 2020/11+..
• Deep experience with AWS services such as Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, RDS Postgres, DynamoDB, and SQS.
• Familiarity with AWS IAM, SSM, and Secrets Manager for application security.
• Strong understanding of SQL query optimization techniques.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with TRPC, Kysely, Zod, dayjs, and Vite JS library.
• Knowledge of data visualization libraries such as amCharts and ReCharts.

Target Salary Range: $135,000-175,000. This range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual salary will be based on a combination of factors, including the position’s scope and level of responsibility, the candidate’s relevant experience, education, technical expertise, skills and qualifications, geographic location, and applicable business or contractual requirements.
