Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC is seeking a Cloud Data Storage Architect to support NASIC transit to secure, cloud-based storage solutions. The role focuses on documenting current architectures, designing future cloud storage, and creating migration plans with security at the core.

Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders and producing reports like the Cloud Storage Migration Posture Report, while ensuring secure access controls and compliance throughout data lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in systems engineering, data engineering, or storage architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or 6 years of equivalent experience substitution.
• Experience designing or supporting storage solutions (on-prem or cloud).
• Understanding of data security, encryption, and access control principles.
• Ability to generate architectural diagrams and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Document current-state storage architectures and data flows, including dependencies and constraints.
• Support the design of future-state cloud storage architectures aligned with NASIC Enterprise Architecture.
• Develop high-level migration plans for transferring legacy storage to cloud-based environments.
• Coordinate with mission stakeholders to ensure secure and operationally effective storage solutions.
• Identify storage-related risks and recommend mitigations.
• Contribute to the Cloud Storage Migration Posture Report describing data flows and transition status.
