Constellation is seeking a Data Solutions Architect in Chicago to design scalable data architectures and lead data pipelines across business functions. You will drive data-driven decision making, collaborate with IT and business teams, and mentor junior data professionals in a fast-paced energy company.

Qualified candidates bring 10+ years in IT with 5+ years in data architecture, hands-on Azure experience, and strong data governance knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems; 8+ years experience or 12+ years in lieu of degree
• 10+ years IT experience with at least 5 years in data architecture or data engineering
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks
• Proven ability to design and deliver large-scale data solutions across cloud environments
• Experience with data modeling, ETL pipelines, data lakes, BI solutions, and Big Data tech (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
• Proficiency in OLTP and OLAP data modeling; familiarity with Avro, Parquet
• Ability to define enterprise data standards and governance; data security fundamentals in cloud systems
• Experience with Erwin/Power Designer for complex data models
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and presenting to leadership
• Excellent written and verbal communication; vendor relations
