Job summary

Acuity, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Engineering Team in Reston, Virginia. This role focuses on designing and delivering AWS cloud-scale data platforms for federal clients. The ideal candidate has experience with Spark, Delta Lake, and building scalable ETL workflows.

Responsibilities include developing data pipelines in PySpark, implementing Delta Lake tables, and deploying solutions in AWS. A BA or BS degree and 4+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering and Agile analytics.
• 4+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
• 2+ years of experience building scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• 2+ years of experience building enterprise data engineering solutions in the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable PySpark-based data pipelines in Databricks.
• Design and implement Delta Lake tables optimized for large datasets.
• Develop ETL and ELT workflows integrating multiple source systems.
• Collaborate with architects to implement cloud-native data solutions.
