Job summary

Delaware Nation Industries seeks a Data Engineer to support JWAC under the Air Force JWAC IT Services program. You will design, implement, and optimize cloud-native data pipelines and ML-ready datasets to enable data science and AI/ML workloads.

The role is onsite at JWAC in Dahlgren, VA, in a TS/SCI/SAP environment, focusing on secure data integration, FinOps, and DoD-aligned security controls across AWS data services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years of full-time data engineering or data science experience.
• Experience designing cloud-native data pipelines on AWS.
• Experience with data warehouses and analytics platforms (Redshift, Athena).
• Experience with Python, Jupyter, or ML tooling.
• Experience implementing cloud security controls and DoD guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud-native data pipelines on AWS.
• Ingest, transform, validate, and publish data across systems.
• Create data architectures and stores for analytics and model training.
• Support AI/ML infrastructure, including model hosting and RAG workflows.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities.
