Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Lead Data Architect to design scalable data architectures for a large US retail platform. The role focuses on big data processing, integration with existing cloud-native systems, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver robust data pipelines.

The ideal candidate has extensive Azure experience (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks) and strong data modeling skills, with a track record of governance and performance tuning in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall experience, 1+ year in Architect role
• Hands-on with Azure Data Factory and Synapse (3+ years)
• Strong data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) for storage/retrieval
• Expertise in Azure services: ADLS, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, pySpark
• Experience building robust ETL/ELT pipelines across data lakes/warehouses
• Data integration from databases, APIs, and external providers
• SQL proficiency for complex queries and performance tuning
• Metadata and governance in cloud data platforms
• Azure/Databricks certifications are a plus
• Experience with cloud-based analytical databases and Azure components
• Python-based ETL tools and shell scripting
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders

Responsibilities
