Job summary

D&A Technologies, Government Solutions, LLC in on-site Washington state seeks an experienced Cloud Cybersecurity Oversight SME to support Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. You will lead cloud security across AWS/Azure, perform RMF A&A, and ensure compliance with DoD directives.

Salary ranges $175,000–$185,000 with benefits including 401(k), health, dental, vision, PTO, and professional development assistance.

Qualifications

  • Active DOE Q or DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity experience
  • 5+ years with NIST standards and DISA STIGS
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Expertise in cybersecurity, RMF A&A, Zero Trust, and risk management
  • Hands-on system and application hardening per NIST guidance (SP 800-53/37/207, CNSSI 1252, DISA STIGs/SRGs)
  • Experience integrating cloud security technologies (DevSecOps, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native SIEM, service mesh, identity mgmt)
  • Familiarity with federal cloud cybersecurity requirements (DISA CC SRG, Secure Cloud Computing Architecture)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and detail orientation

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, operate, and maintain cloud cybersecurity program across AWS and Azure
  • Administer cybersecurity policy to keep cloud environment secure and compliant
  • Review assessment and authorization activities for Navy IT systems, apps, and networks
  • Serve as auditors for cybersecurity compliance with laws, directives, and policies
  • Apply continuous monitoring and risk management to system/capability authorizations for Navy customer
  • Conduct technical reviews of contractor, DoN, and DIB recommendations for secure cloud implementation
  • Develop and implement cloud cybersecurity controls to protect systems, networks, and data
  • Maintain and refresh A&A documentation to keep asset information current
  • Track and document network ports, protocols, and services
  • Monitor and report status of RMF A&A items and evidence
  • Provide compliance reviews aligned to cyber laws and directives for Naval programs
  • Prepare written review reports with supporting analysis
  • Participate in periodic cybersecurity evaluations at program sites
  • Perform regular security risk assessments, review controls, STIGs/SRGs, audits for vulnerabilities
  • Advise leadership and teams to ensure cloud security tools are integrated into cloud infra

Requirements
Must have:
  • We require an active DOE Q or DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
  • We require at least 5 years of cybersecurity experience.
  • We require at least 5 years of experience with NIST standards and DISA STIGS.
  • We require a Top Secret clearance.
  • We are seeking strong expertise in cybersecurity, RMF A&A, Zero Trust, and risk management.
  • We need hands-on experience with system and application hardening aligned to DoD and NIST guidance, including NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-207, CNSSI 1252, DISA STIGs, and SRGs.
  • We value experience implementing and integrating cloud security technologies such as DevSecOps pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native SIEM, service mesh, identity management, data protection, and serverless computing.
  • We are looking for knowledge of standards-based assessment and authorization for information systems, including security control evaluation and risk determination.
  • We expect familiarity with federal cloud cybersecurity requirements, including DISA Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide and Secure Cloud Computing Architecture.
  • We need strong analytical abilities, clear communication skills, and close attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • We design, develop, implement, operate, and maintain our cloud cybersecurity program across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • We administer cybersecurity policy and ensure our cloud environment remains secure and compliant.
  • We review assessment and authorization activities for IT systems, applications, and networks supporting the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
  • We serve as auditors for cybersecurity compliance with applicable laws, directives, and policies.
  • We apply continuous monitoring and risk management practices to support system and capability authorizations for a major U.S. Navy customer.
  • We conduct technical reviews of contractor, Department of the Navy, and Defense Industrial Base recommendations that affect cybersecurity, with emphasis on secure cloud implementation.
  • We develop and implement cloud cybersecurity controls to protect systems, networks, and data.
  • We maintain and refresh A&A documentation to keep network asset information accurate and current.
  • We track and document network ports, protocols, and services.
  • We monitor and report the status of open RMF A&A items and supporting evidence.
  • We provide compliance reviews aligned to published cyber security laws, directives, and policies for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
  • We prepare written review reports with supporting analysis when requested.
  • We participate in periodic cybersecurity evaluations at program sites, including reviews of traditional and cloud-based IT systems.
  • We perform regular security risk assessments, review controls, evaluate STIGs and SRGs, and conduct audits to identify vulnerabilities.
  • We analyze findings, support mitigation planning, and help develop POA&Ms.
  • We advise and collaborate with senior officials, leadership, cybersecurity, IT, and engineering teams to ensure cloud security tools are properly integrated into our cloud infrastructure.
