Job summary

Cymertek Corporation in Maryland is seeking a Cloud Big Data Software Engineer to design and implement scalable cloud data solutions, build data pipelines, and optimize performance across distributed systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Python or Java, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and big data tools (Hadoop/Spark/Kafka), plus a passion for security, governance, and collaborative problem solving. This role requires TS/SCI Full Poly and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python or Java programming.
• Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and parallel processing.
• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; contractors may accept 4–5 years experience in lieu.
