Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Administrator to support day-to-day operations, reliability, and security of our Microsoft Azure environment. You will manage Azure IaaS, ANF, VMs, and AVD, ensuring efficient provisioning, monitoring, and modernization efforts.

In this role, you will implement governance, apply least-privilege access, and collaborate with internal teams to migrate file services to ANF while maintaining incident response readiness and solid documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of systems administration experience, including 2+ years in production Azure IaaS.
Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS operations (VMs, resource organization, tooling).
Experience with Azure NetApp Files, snapshots, and replication concepts.
Familiarity with Azure RBAC concepts and standard built-in roles.
Operational disciplines: incident/change management, documentation, and service delivery.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain Azure Resource Groups following naming, tagging, and lifecycle standards.
Assist with governance activities and cost visibility.
Apply least-privilege access using Azure RBAC and reviews.
Support day-to-day Azure networking fundamentals with VNets and NSGs.
Administer ANF resources including accounts, pools, and volumes.
Perform scaling, tier adjustments, and DR-ready tasks for ANF.
Provision and maintain Azure Windows VMs and AVD environments, including backups and lifecycle.
Support patching, troubleshoot VM/AVD issues, and host pools management.
Configure and monitor Azure services using Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights.
Participate in incident response and maintain runbooks and SOPs.
Collaborate with internal teams on migrations to ANF and communicate incidents clearly.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other

The Cloud Infrastructure Administrator supports day-to-day operations, reliability, and security of the Microsoft Azure environment, focusing on Azure IaaS, Azure NetApp Files (ANF), Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). This role supports provisioning, configuration, monitoring, incident response, daily operations, and modernization initiatives that include migrating file services into ANF.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

Azure IaaS

Create/maintain Azure Resource Groups according to established naming, tagging, and environment standards to support ownership and lifecycle clarity.
Assist with operational governance activities (tag hygiene, stale resource cleanup, cost/usage visibility).
Apply least-privilege access principles using Azure RBAC and standard built-in roles; support periodic access reviews and remediation tasks assigned by security/lead.
Support day-to-day Azure networking fundamentals such as VNets/subnets, NSGs, routing, DNS, and secure connectivity troubleshooting in coordination with network/security teams.

Azure NetApp Files (ANF) Administration

Administer ANF resources including NetApp accounts, capacity pools, and volumes (create, modify, document, and maintain).
Perform operational tasks such as resizing, tier/service-level adjustments, and troubleshooting volume access/performance issues.
Implement and maintain ANF data protection practices such as snapshots and disaster recovery readiness activities.

Azure Virtual Machines (IaaS) and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

Provision and maintain Azure Windows VMs and AVD environments: sizing, disk management, backups, and lifecycle tasks (start/stop, redeploy, deallocate, retire).
Support patching/maintenance routines.
Resolve common VM/AVD issues (CPU/memory/vGPU, disk latency, connectivity).
Support core AVD operational components (host pools/session hosts, scaling, image lifecycle, and operational troubleshooting) as part of day-to-day support.

Monitoring, Observability, and Operational Response

Configure and monitor Azure services using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights; investigate alerts, document findings, and elevate as needed.
Participate in incident response support activities (triage, evidence gathering, containment steps as directed) consistent with IT/security procedures.
Contribute to runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation to increase repeatability and reduce operational risk.

Collaboration and Customer Service

Work with internal teams to support initiatives involving Azure-hosted workloads and storage modernization, including file services migration to ANF.
Provide timely, clear communication on incidents, service requests, and changes; maintain high-quality ticket notes and post-incident summaries.

Demonstrated hands‑on experience with Azure IaaS operations (VMs, resource organization, standard operational tooling).
Operational disciplines: incident/change management, documentation, and service delivery.
Experience with Azure NetApp Files, performance tiers/service levels, snapshots, troubleshooting and replication concepts.
Experience supporting Azure VMs and AVD environments.
Familiarity with Azure RBAC concepts and standard built-in roles.
