The role requires deep cloud expertise, mentoring of technical teams, and a proven track record delivering secure, scalable and cost-efficient solutions. You will lead cloud strategy, establish roadmaps, oversee migrations, and partner with security and executive stakeholders to align cloud initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in cloud/infrastructure architecture roles.
• Experience designing cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

Summary/Objective:

We're looking for an experienced enterprise cloud architect who has already led significant cloud initiatives and is excited by the opportunity to guide architecture strategy, governance, modernization efforts, and technical standards across a global organization. The ideal candidate brings deep cloud expertise, experience mentoring and influencing technical teams, and a track record of leading complex cloud initiatives while delivering secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead cloud strategy development, including cloud architecture roadmaps, modernization initiatives, and multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud adoption strategies.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders to align cloud initiatives with business objectives.
• Architect and govern enterprise cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments that are scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective.
• Define and enforce cloud architecture standards, governance models, and best practices for cloud design, deployment, and operations across the organization, continuously evaluating emerging technologies and architecture patterns to inform future direction.
• Support the enterprise architecture operating model by partnering with business and IT stakeholders, managing demand intake, and participating in Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Technology Review Board (TRB) processes.
• Lead large-scale cloud migration and modernization projects from legacy systems.
• Partner with Information Security teams to oversee cloud security, compliance, and risk management practices.
• Develop and maintain high-availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Drive cost optimization and performance tuning across cloud environments.
• Effectively communicate the cloud vision, strategy, and architectural blueprints to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on cloud architecture, design decisions, and best practices.
• Create documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and systems to support operational consistency and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate across countries and cultures to develop shared practices, standards, and communities of excellence that reflect Carrix's global footprint.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 8+ years in cloud and infrastructure architecture roles such as Cloud Architect, Infrastructure Architect, or similar architecture-focused positions.
• Proven experience designing and implementing cloud and infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, as well as on-premises environments, while establishing architecture standards, governance models, and technology roadmaps.
• Strong experience with network, server, storage, and infrastructure architecture.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and serverless computing.
• Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with observability tools to analyze logs, metrics, events, and traces.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity, and access management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities as a subject matter expert.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect preferred.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) preferred.
• ITIL certification required (or obtained within 90 days of employment. Paid for by the company).

Pay Range: $165,000 - 185,000 per year

The posted compensation range is based on the applicable geographic market for the position and may vary depending on factors such as related experience and skill set. Final compensation will be determined based on these items and other relevant factors.
