Job summary

BTI is seeking a Cloud Architect to design and oversee cloud solutions aligned with strategic objectives and technical requirements. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure architectures and collaborate with development, operations, and executive teams to ensure successful deployments.

You will lead governance initiatives, enforce best practices, and stay ahead of cloud trends to continuously improve capabilities for defense and civilian programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or industry certifications preferred.
  • Extensive experience in cloud computing architecture and design, with IaaS/PaaS/SaaS knowledge.
  • At least 8 years in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with multi-service solutions.
  • Experience with government security standards (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST) and compliance strategies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, microservices, and serverless patterns.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming for automation and infra management.
  • Experience in risk assessment, cloud security principles, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication for cross-stakeholder guidance.
  • US Citizen

Job description

Business Technology Integrators (BTI) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with more than 25 years of experience delivering innovative and reliable IT and engineering solutions to the Federal Government. BTI supports mission-critical programs across defense and civilian agencies, with core expertise in cybersecurity, program management, enterprise IT, and technical oversight services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Cloud Architect, the primary responsibility is to design and oversee the implementation of cloud solutions that align with an organization’s strategic objectives and technical requirements.

This role involves analyzing business needs and translating them into cloud architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient. Cloud Architects collaborate with various stakeholders, including development teams, system administrators, and executives to ensure effective cloud integration and deployment strategies.

They are also responsible for creating cloud governance frameworks and best practices to ensure compliance and optimal performance.

Staying current with emerging cloud technologies and trends is essential for continuously enhancing the organization’s cloud capabilities.

Experience/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) are preferred.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders and guiding teams through cloud transformation initiatives.
