Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to lead modern cloud architecture initiatives, focusing on AWS, .NET, and DevSecOps for a next‑generation software platform used in highly regulated industries.

You will own architecture decisions from the ground up, be hands-on, and influence long-term strategy while mentoring developers and establishing engineering standards in a collaborative, agile environment.

Qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• Extensive experience with C# and .NET Core.
• Strong AWS cloud architecture expertise.
• Terraform and IaC experience.
• DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
• Experience designing scalable distributed applications.
• Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or ISO standards.
• Relational and NoSQL database experience.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture decisions from the ground up, driving cloud-first design and long-term strategy.

A rapidly growing organization supporting scientific research and laboratory technologies is hiring a full-time Senior Cloud Architect. This role is fully focused on modern cloud architecture, AWS, .NET, and DevSecOps initiatives as the company continues to scale a next-generation software platform used across highly regulated industries. You'll work in a collaborative, agile environment with significant influence over technical direction and long-term architecture strategy.

This is an opportunity to own architecture decisions from the ground up rather than maintain legacy systems. The team is looking for a hands‑on architect who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, establishing engineering standards, mentoring developers, and driving cloud‑first best practices. You'll have the chance to shape platform architecture, introduce modern design patterns, and work on solutions that support critical scientific and operational workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification
• Extensive experience with C# and .NET Core
• Strong AWS cloud architecture expertise
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience
• DevSecOps and cloud security best practices
• Experience designing scalable distributed applications
• Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or ISO standards

Desired Skills & Experience

• Angular 16+, TypeScript, and JavaScript experience
• Experience with hexagonal architecture principles
• Exposure to Big Data technologies
• Background supporting regulated environments (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2)
• Experience creating proofs of concept and evaluating emerging technologies
• Laboratory, scientific, or analytical software domain experience
