Job summary

We’re supporting a fast-growing FinTech organisation delivering a large-scale migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We’re seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design and governance of a secure, scalable cloud platform as part of a critical transformation programme.

This role will sit at the centre of the migration initiative, providing architectural leadership across infrastructure, applications, security, and DevOps practices.

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing

• Define and own the target-state cloud architecture on GCP
• Lead architecture design for cloud and application migrations
• Establish scalable, secure, and resilient platform patterns
• Design Infrastructure as Code frameworks using Terraform
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and delivery teams
• Ensure governance, compliance, and cloud best practices are embedded
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex cloud challenges

✅ Required Experience

• Proven track record delivering cloud migration or platform modernisation programmes
• Deep understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security architecture
• Experience designing Kubernetes / GKE-based platforms
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Ability to balance strategic design with hands‑on technical validation
• Experience operating in regulated or high‑availability environments

• Experience in FinTech or regulated industries
• CI/CD strategy and DevOps operating model design
• Cloud cost optimisation and FinOps exposure
• Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect)
