We are looking for an experienced Techno-Functional Azure Databricks Architect with strong expertise in the Healthcare Payer domain and a proven background in leading large-scale Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to Azure Databricks migration initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Cloud Migration, and Delivery Leadership. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and client leadership to design and deliver enterprise-scale data modernization solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end Azure cloud data architecture and migration strategies for enterprise data modernization projects.
- Lead migration of legacy EDW platforms (Teradata, Netezza, Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, etc.) to Azure Databricks Lakehouse.
- Build scalable, secure, and cost-efficient Azure data solutions.
- Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure-native technologies.
- Establish architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate Healthcare Payer requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead data profiling, migration planning, validation, reconciliation, and cutover activities.
- Conduct architecture reviews, mentor engineering teams, and ensure adherence to Agile and SDLC best practices.
- Drive data governance, security, and regulatory compliance, including HIPAA, PHI, PII, and CMS requirements.
- Act as a trusted technology advisor for clients and executive stakeholders, leading architecture discussions and solution workshops.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years of Azure Data & Analytics Architecture experience.
- 5+ years of Healthcare Payer domain experience.
- Experience leading at least three large-scale cloud migration programs.
- Proven experience in migrating Enterprise Data Warehouses to Azure Databricks.
- Strong stakeholder management, client-facing, and executive presentation skills.
- Experience managing onsite-offshore delivery teams.
